Stage 1: ApplicationInterested applicants need to attend at least one session of “Human Library” during Oct 2020 to Nov 2020 to pick up a basic concept of climate change before application submission.
Eligible Idea Stage applicants should submit the document below:
Application Form
- Applicants should fill in the application form online (Application Form Template)
- Applicants should upload the One-Page Concept Note, Endorsement Form and/or reference letter, and other supporting documents within the Online Application Form
- Each file would be uploaded should be within 10MB
1. One-Page Concept Note
- Download One-Page Concept Note template
- One-Page Concept Note can be written in either English or Chinese
- Graphic presentation in the One-Page Contact Note would be acceptable
- One-Page Concept Note should be submitted in Microsoft Word or PDF file
- File should be named after Team Name (e.g Wofoo_OnePageConceptNote)
2. Appendices (optional)
- It should not more than 2 pages in Microsoft Word / PDF file
3. Elevator Pitch Video (optional)
- Video should be within one minute
- Applicant can apply image, graphic, animation, clips in the video to present the idea
- Video can be presented in either English or Chinese; English subtitle will be preferred.
- Video should be uploaded to YouTube and change video privacy setting to unlisted. Please be reminded to share the YouTube link on the application form
4. Endorsement Form
- All applications must secure endorsement (chop on the form) from any departments under any tertiaries and relevant institutions and/or organisations
- A formal reference letter can be submitted in lieu of the chopped on endorsement form
5. Other Supporting Documents
- CVs of all core team members
- Student ID Cards (applicable to Full-time & Part-time students)
- Certificate of graduation (applicable to Alumna)
- Intellectual property document (if any)
- Other supporting documents (if any)
Eligible applicants should fill in and submit Application Form online and upload One-Page Concept Note, Endorsement Form and/or reference letter, and other supporting documents to the online application form on or before the deadline 20 December 2021. Late submissions will not be considered.
***Please note that applicants will receive application confirmation email within 5 working days after successful application.
Stage 2: IdeationTeams which enter in semi-final would be able to participate in the conceptualisation and innovation training workshops to optimise the ideas and presentation skills by leveraging the entrepreneur toolkit to persuade the stakeholders to support and invest the start-up business.
After the training, teams should submit the document below:
1.Detailed Proposal
Format
- Download Detailed Proposal template
- Detailed Proposal can be written in either English or Chinese
- Detailed Proposal should be no more than 8 pages in Microsoft Word / PDF file
- Cover page will not count in page limit
- Graphic presentation in the Detailed Proposal would be acceptable
- File should be named after Team Name (e.g. Wofoo_DetailedProposal)
2. Appendices
- It should not more than 5 pages in Microsoft Word / PDF file
3.Supporting Document
- Supplementary information (if any)
Stage 3: Public Pitching Finalists would be able to participate in the action-based workshops to get start a prototype and train up the pitching skills. After the training, a sounding orienteering platform, Hong Kong Water Race would be provided for the teams to set up pop up station showcasing the experimental ideas to public and the green community. Teams could assess the market reaction through the public voting session.
All the materials for the pop up station should be prepared by the teams.

Format
- Teams are encouraged, but not required to prepare the display materials in Chinese
- Public will have a chance to cast their votes for their favourite initiative, contributing scores towards the teams.
- All team members must be present at the pop up station. Anyone absent from the team can be disqualified, except those who have the official approval from the Organiser.
- More details will be released closer towards the event date
Materials should be prepared (you may make reference to the following):
- Foam board & Panel design
- Slide Deck (if any)
- Prototype showcasing (if any)
- Pitching pops (if any)
- Station Decorations, etc.
Stage 4: Judge PitchingFinalists would have an opportunity to deliver a pitch to the industry experts, business representatives and potential investors who would offer feedback and insight for participant to refine the business model and craft a unique business proposition.
1.Judge Pitching
Format
- The Pitching should be within 10 minutes, followed by 10 min Q&A session
- Teams can deliver the pitch in either Chinese and English
- Finalists should hand in the Slide Deck 2 weeks before the judge pitching
- All team members must be present at the judge pitching, but not every team member required to speak in the pitching. Anyone absent from the team can be disqualified, except those who have the official approval from the Organiser.
Materials should be prepared (you may make reference to the following):

- Finalists are allowed to prepare Video and other Media for pitching
- Prototype showcasing (if any), etc.
Stage 5: ImplementationAfter the judge pitching session, seed fund would be awarded to the outstanding teams in two-stage. The first payment will be made after submission of funding budget plan, programme milestone setting and the signing of the Funding Agreement. The final payment will be issued on a reimbursement basis, subject to examination and verification of the reports and achievement of agreed targets.
First Instalment will be issued after submission of the documents below,

- Allocation of funding for programme implementation
3.Milestone of the programme
- Setting milestone/target for impact assessment and outcome evaluation
Final Instalment will be issued upon satisfactory review of final report and after submission of company factsheet,
