About Us

CARS is an entrepreneurship programme initiated by Hong Kong SDG Hub, co-organised by the Environment Bureau and sponsored by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporate (HSBC). Our scheme aims to recognise and invest in innovative and outstanding start-up ideas which take actions in combating SDG-related climate change problems.

We provide holistic training in entrepreneurship and innovation, mentorship support, a publicity and networking platform, seed fund and acceleration fund to young people who are determined to act on and transform climate awareness into climate actions and solutions.

Our homeland, the Earth, is facing various global challenges brought by economic prosperity and environmental degradation. In view of this, all members of the United Nations agreed to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals before 2030, calling for action by all countries to promote sustainable economy while tackling climate change and environmental protection.

Hong Kong is part of the global village. Wofoo Social Enterprises established “Hong Kong SDG Hub” in 2020, with the sponsor by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, to echo the UN SDGs. Through innovative entrepreneurship programs and mass public events, Hong Kong SDG Hub strives to promote the importance of UN SDGs and increase the awareness of public and youth.

“Hong Kong Water Race” has been organized by Wofoo Social Enterprises, co-organized by Water Supplies Department, and sponsored by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. Through the means of city orienteering, this project strives to promote the concept of water footprint to the participants and arouse public awareness of water crisis and climate change. Participants will be requested to visit scenic spots and public amenities around designated area to complete tasks. ​

The first “Hong Kong Water Race” was held in Tin Shui Wai in 2013. The Race has been gaining supports from various social sectors. The 2014 Race was held in Sha Tin riverside, Kai Tak in 2015, Central Harbourfront in 2016, Shatin Racecourse in 2017, Fa Hui Park in 2018, Tin Shui Wai in 2019. The Race gains support of over 4,000 participants, with increasing number of orienteering race and carnival participants every year.
